If you use a GPS then be sure to click here to download all the Tama-Toledo waypoints you’re likely to need... 58 of them.  Included are all the banks, gas stations, all churches with food or entertainment, grocery stores, post offices, food and entertainment centers, and a few other destinations.

Click (or right-click) this button to download the points in GPX format.

Or click this button to download them in Garmin MapSource format.

Wondering where Tama-Toledo is?  The button provided below will take you to Tama-Toledo...via MapQuest.  The mapped point
(at N 41° 58’ 47”, W 92°  34’ 40”) is roughly on the boundary between Tama and Toledo.  Tama is south of this point and Toledo is to the north.

If it’s route data you’re looking for then you’ve come to the right place.  The T-T RAGBRAI webmaster is also an avid geocacher (alias “Summitt Dweller”) and a bit of a map-freak.  He’s created “unofficial” route data files for DeLorme Street Atlas® 2007 and Garmin Mapsource®.  If you don’t know what these are then no need to read any further.  If you have a Garmin® brand GPS or use DeLorme® mapping software then visit the links provided below to download copies of the data.

  • Route Map in DeLorme Street Atlas 2007® Format (.saf)
  • Route Only in DeLorme Street Atlas® Format (.anr)
  • Route Map in Garmin Mapsource® Format (.mps)
  • Route Map in Garmin Mapsource® Format (.gdb)
  • Route Data in GPX (from Mapsource®) Format (.gpx)

Remember, the route is subject to change and this is not an official publication from RAGBRAI®...it’s just some information that Summitt Dweller assembled for personal use.  Also, if you use a GPS to navigate on your bike (or at any time for that matter) please use extreme caution.  Don’t trust it with your life and don’t follow it blindly...pay attention to the road!
